SCAMPER

SCAMPER is a technique which helps you to innovate on a product or service that already exists by looking at it through different lenses. There are seven different lenses:

Substitute
Combine
Adapt
Modify/Magnify/Minify
Put to another use
Eliminate
Rearrange

Here's an example of using the SCAMPER technique on a spoon.

This example applies the SCAMPER technique to a KitKat bar:

Substitute chocolate flavour with milk

Combine fruit /peanut flavour

Adapt inside an ice cream

Modify and make it bigger

Put to another use to make a drink

Eliminate and keep to a single bar

Rearrange, cut to pieces for bite-size delights
